Digital Client Delivery Manager
Location – Leeds, hybrid (2-3 days in the office)
Salary – £27,500–£33,000, depending on experience
Love keeping clients calm, projects moving and digital work nicely under control?
We’re looking for a Client Delivery Manager for a specialist digital marketing agency that want to challenge the market and grow.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys being the steady, organised link between clients and technical teams. You don’t need to be a developer, but you do need to be curious about websites, confident asking questions, and good at turning client requests into clear, actionable work.
The agency delivers websites, digital updates, campaigns and ongoing support for its clients. They’re also investing in smarter tech and AI-led workflows to help streamline delivery and give teams more time to focus on the work that really matters.
This isn’t a traditional project management role. And it’s not a big strategic account management role either.
It’s the crucial operational layer in the middle — keeping work flowing, clients updated, developers properly briefed and everyone clear on what’s happening next.
If you’re organised, detail-focused, calm under pressure and genuinely enjoy making things easier for clients and teams, this could be a brilliant next step.
What You’ll Be Doing
✔ Acting as the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of digital clients
✔ Managing website updates, enhancements, support work and full website builds
✔ Tracking retainer hours, flagging issues and helping clients get value from their allocation
✔ Sending regular updates and reports so clients know what’s been delivered and what’s remaining
✔ Running regular client check-ins to prioritise work and keep relationships strong
✔ Turning client briefs into clear tickets for developers and designers
✔ Coordinating work across the team and staying close to what’s in flight
✔ Attending stand-ups and making sure everyone has the information they need
✔ Testing work carefully before it goes back to clients
✔ Using approved AI tools to support workflows, document creation and communications
✔ Managing invoicing in Xero with proper care and attention
✔ Tracking budgets and flagging early if work is heading over scope
✔ Building towards more autonomy when quoting additional work
✔ Taking ownership when problems crop up — bringing solutions, not just passing issues on
What You’ll Bring to the Table
Experience & Skills
- 2–3 years’ experience in a client-facing role, ideally in an agency, web development or similar environment
- A genuine interest in digital and websites
- A basic conceptual understanding of things like WordPress, plugins, APIs and web architecture
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using AI tools for writing, research, planning or workflow support
- Excellent attention to detail, especially around invoicing, commitments and client updates
- The ability to turn slightly messy client requests into clear, useful briefs
- Confidence working with technical teams, even if you’re not technical yourself
- A proactive mindset — you spot problems before they become bigger ones
- Good people skills and a genuine curiosity about clients and their challenges
Nice to Have
- Exposure to agile or Kanban-style project management
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- Understanding of retainer-based client relationships
The Kind of Person Who’ll Thrive In The Role
You’ll be someone who takes pride in doing things properly, not just quickly.
You’ll enjoy being organised, helpful and one step ahead. You’ll be comfortable asking questions, chasing details, checking work and making sure clients feel looked after.
You’ll probably recognise yourself in most of this:
- Calm and practical — you don’t flap when things get busy
- Detail-focused — little errors bother you, in a good way
- Curious — especially about websites, digital delivery and how things work
- Accountable — you take ownership and follow things through
- Positive — you bring good energy to clients and the team
- Collaborative — you know when to pull the right people into a conversation
- Commercially aware — you understand that time, budgets and expectations matter
- Client-focused — you care about making things feel clear, smooth and well-managed
A Quick Note on Fit
This role is ideal for someone who likes being close to the detail and enjoys making delivery feel seamless.
It probably won’t suit someone who wants to focus purely on strategy, or someone who prefers to hand things off and move on. You’ll be the person clients rely on for clarity, updates and reassurance — and the person the internal team trusts to brief work properly and keep things moving.
You don’t need to know all the technical answers. But you do need to be interested enough to learn, confident enough to ask, and thoughtful enough to know when to bring in the experts.
