Hours: Morning and afternoon clinics across three days. Working time are negotiable.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our team. This is an autonomous clinical role, responsible for independently assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing patients presenting with a wide range of acute and undifferentiated conditions.
The successful candidate will use their advanced clinical knowledge and professional judgement to make independent clinical decisions, prescribe within their scope of practice, develop appropriate treatment plans and manage clinical risk. Working collaboratively with the wider practice team, you will provide safe, effective and patient-centred care while contributing to the delivery and development of high-quality primary care services.
We are happy to discuss a flexible working arrangement, with the role available on either a PAYE basis or as a locum engagement, depending on your preferences and circumstances.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Autonomous ANP sessions with a mix of same-day and pre-booked work assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing patients presenting with a wide range of acute, chronic and undifferentiated conditions.
· Assess and manage patients with undiagnosed or undifferentiated conditions, including arranging investigations and making treatment decisions.
· Undertake appropriate clinical assessments, including taking patient histories, carrying out physical examinations and reviewing clinical findings.
· Apply clinical knowledge and professional judgement to make appropriate decisions regarding patient care and treatment.
· Develop and review suitable management and treatment plans in partnership with patients.
· Prescribe medicines, including certain controlled drugs, within their scope of competence, where appropriately qualified as an Independent Prescriber.
· Undertake home visits where required.
· Assess fitness for work and issue Fit Notes where appropriate.
· Work collaboratively with the wider general practice team to meet patient needs
· Support the implementation of practice policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active registration with the NMC
- Educated to Masters level
- Independent prescriber
· Demonstrate autonomous evidence
- Recent UK primary care experience.
- Experience using clinical system SystemOne
· Excellent communication and people skills.
· Eligible to work in the UK
