Trade Counter Sales Advisor, Liverpool
£35,000 Basic Salary + Bonus
Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Every Other Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Our client is a well-established and highly respected supplier within the plumbing, heating and trade sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join their successful Liverpool branch.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a trade counter, plumbing merchant, builders' merchant, DIY or similar customer-facing environment who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional service and contributing to the success of a busy branch.
The Role
As a Trade Counter Sales Advisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the branch, becoming a trusted point of contact for trade professionals and local customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving trade and cash customers at the counter
- Providing product advice and identifying the right solutions for customer requirements
- Preparing quotations and processing sales orders
- Managing and developing customer accounts
- Building strong relationships with regular customers and local tradespeople
- Maintaining high standards of stock presentation and shop floor organisation
- Assisting with stock control, picking and packing customer orders
- Supporting customer deliveries where required
- Working closely with branch management on stock selection, displays and pricing
- Identifying opportunities to re-engage dormant and lower-spend accounts to drive branch growth
The Candidate
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in:
- Plumbing and heating merchants
- Trade counters
You will also have:
- A strong customer service and sales background
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your role
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A full, clean UK driving licence
