Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Workshop Manager to lead our technical workshop operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of quality, and fostering continuous improvement across all workshop activities. As a Workshop Manager, you will oversee daily operations and implement process enhancements to optimise productivity and safety. Your leadership will drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork, ensuring the delivery of top-tier mechanical assembly and maintenance services.
Duties
- Supervise daily workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of mechanical assembly, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of parts and materials using management systems.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall quality control standards.
- Oversee adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance procedures to maintain a safe working environment and high standards of workmanship.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies by analysing workflows and identifying issues.
- Manage workshop staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support assembly processes and technical troubleshooting as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in managing workshop or manufacturing operations with a focus on mechanical assembly or related technical fields.
- Strong knowledge of AutoFlow software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly, maintenance, or repair work.
- Experience implementing quality control procedures and maintaining high safety standards within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate across departments effectively.
