Bovingdons is an award-winning, caterer known for delivering high-quality, creative food and bespoke event services across corporate and private events. 87 Barts is a premium, modern event space in the heart of the City, designed to host sophisticated corporate functions and private gatherings. With stylish interiors and high-quality food and service, it offers a versatile setting for memorable events.
Role Purpose:
We’re looking for an organised and relationship driven Sales and Events Manager to lead the end to end sales journey for 87 Barts Close, one of London’s most distinctive livery hall and event venues.
This is a hands on, client facing role suited to someone who thrives within a livery hall, event venue or catering sales environment, building strong relationships, delivering outstanding service and managing every detail with precision. From the first enquiry through to a seamless handover to operations, you will play a key role in creating exceptional client experiences and driving venue revenue.
What You’ll Be Doing

Managing the full client journey from initial enquiry through to event handover, delivering a smooth and professional experience throughout

Converting incoming enquiries into confirmed business through timely communication, accurate proposals and strong commercial awareness

Conducting venue show rounds, client meetings and tastings, presenting tailored event solutions and recommendations

Producing detailed event documentation including proposals, contracts and function sheets to support flawless event delivery

Building long term client relationships to support repeat business and revenue growth

Coaching and mentoring one direct report, a sales executive to ensure seamless client management
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience within event sales, event planning or hospitality sales, ideally within a livery hall, event venue or catering environment which is essential

A strong track record of managing multiple events and clients with professionalism and attention to detail in a fast paced environment

Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise effectively

Strong communication and presentation skills with a confident client facing approach

A proactive and collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional events
Good to Know
Salary up to £40,000 per annum. This role is primarily based at Butchers’ Hall, 87 Bartholomew Close, London EC1A
Working pattern
3 days per week venue based
1 day per week working from home
Due to the nature of the role, some evening and occasional weekend work will be required.
Butchers’ Hall delivers more than 170 events each year, so success in this role requires exceptional organisation, strong administrative capability and genuine pride in attention to detail.
