JOB OVERVIEW
We're recruiting a full-time Mobile Automotive Technician for our client, a well-established automotive business in the Braintree, Essex area. You'll work on a variety of vehicles, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards. This is a permanent role offering competitive salary and the opportunity to develop your skills across all makes and models.
SALARY
£40,000–£48,000 per annum (PAYE)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer procedures and standards
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical issues
- Carry out inspections and safety checks to identify potential problems
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns professionally
- Work flexibly across a range of job types, from basic maintenance to complex repairs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance/repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with all makes and models
- Proven experience with timing belts, chains, clutch replacements, and diagnostics
- Must own your own tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- UK resident or able to work full-time in the UK
- Licence check will be required
- Flexible availability, 8am–6pm Monday to Friday
- Overtime opportunities available (Saturdays, paid separately)
