Prodigy IT Solutions has spent the last 20 years quietly building a solid reputation for managed IT support across Dorset. Now we're pushing into new territory. We're growing the business, adding services like AI Consulting & Training on top of our core MSP offering, working through further accreditations (ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 42001), and opening new offices as we go.
Marketing has always been a bit of an afterthought here, something the Directors have fitted in around everything else. We've reached the point where that's not good enough anymore. We need someone in-house who can own it properly.
A Bit About Us
We're headquartered in Blandford Forum, with a second office in Bournemouth. We support businesses across Dorset and the surrounding areas with IT support, cyber security, cloud services and much more. We've built up a genuinely loyal client base across professional services, education, manufacturing, hospitality and the charity sector.
The plan now is to grow that footprint with more offices, new services, and a much bigger name for us in the local and regional business community.
What You'd Actually Be Doing
This is a hands-on job, not a strategy-deck job. Day to day, you'd be:
- Generating leads and following them through until they turn into a real pipeline
- Getting our name known, raising awareness of Prodigy across the wider business community, not just our existing client base
- Running seminars, webinars and client events from start to finish
- Turning up to networking events and conferences and representing us well in person
- Writing and producing content, covering everything from bread-and-butter IT support through to AI
- Managing our LinkedIn (and other social channels) properly, not just posting occasionally
- Helping plan and promote new office openings as we expand
- Sitting down regularly with the Directors to talk about where the business is heading and what marketing should be doing about it
What We're Looking For
Some experience in B2B marketing is a must; agency background, in-house at a tech or professional services firm, doesn't matter much. What matters more is how you work. Are you someone who spots a gap and just gets on with filling it, or do you need it all mapped out before you'll move? We need the former.
- Comfortable talking to people face to face, not just from behind a screen
- Can write well enough to make IT and cybersecurity sound genuinely interesting
- Happy switching between the day-to-day grind (events, posts, content) and bigger conversations with senior people
- Curious about where AI is going, even if you're not remotely technical yourself
- Fine with being judged on results rather than hours at a desk
- Ideally, a creative eye for design and branding as much as for writing
What You'd Get in Return
A real say in how the marketing function gets built, direct access to the Directors, and the chance to shape something from close to scratch rather than inherit someone else's system. We're growing quickly and are ambitious, which means the next couple of years here won't be quiet.
Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
