Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to maintain cleanliness and coat health
- Trimming fur, nails, and haircuts according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Cleaning and sanitising grooming tools and workstations regularly
- Monitoring dogs during grooming for signs of distress or health issues
- Providing exceptional customer service by discussing grooming needs and preferences with clients
- Handling dogs safely, including managing heavy lifting when necessary for larger breeds
- Maintaining accurate records of grooming services provided and client preferences
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of animals throughout the grooming process
Requirements
- Previous experience in dog grooming or animal care is preferred; veterinary experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of different dog breeds and grooming techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to handle dogs safely and confidently, including managing larger or more energetic animals
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during grooming sessions
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals and their wellbeing
