We are now looking for a Delivery Driver to join our Logistics Team at our Doncaster site.
About the Role
As a Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring our products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time to customers throughout the UK. You'll be responsible for operating a company 7.5 tonne vehicle, completing scheduled deliveries and representing Sentry Fire Safety Group professionally at customer sites.
This role involves nationwide travel, predominantly within the London area, with occasional overnight stays where required to support business needs and delivery schedules.
Typical start times are from 6:00am, with finish times dependent upon delivery schedules and locations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Safely operate a company 7.5 tonne vehicle for deliveries and collections.
- Deliver doors safely and efficiently to customer sites across the UK.
- Complete daily delivery schedules and planned routes.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure goods are loaded, secured, transported and delivered safely.
- Operate tail lift equipment and assist with unloading products where required.
- Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle documentation accurately.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation, Driver CPC requirements and Company policies.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a valid UK C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence.
- Holds a valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Holds a Digital Tachograph Card.
- Has previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
- Has experience completing deliveries and collections.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
- Is reliable, punctual and organised.
- Has good communication and customer service skills.
- Is comfortable working independently and managing their time effectively.
- Is willing to undertake occasional overnight stays when required.
