Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional bar staff to join a members only, snooker, pool and dart club based in Poulton. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. This role involves preparing and serving food and beverages, adhering to food safety standards and using the computer software booking system. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential. Opening hours are from 9am - 11pm, split shift available.
Duties
- Serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
- Prepare food in the kitchen - must have confidence using fryer and grill
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables or seating areas when required
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any queries or concerns promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
