AFP are a leading fire and life safety company dedicated to protecting lives, properties, and assets through innovative solutions and exceptional service. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Estimator to drive growth and expand our presence in Wales and South West region.
Role Description
This is a full-time role located in South Wales. The Estimator will be responsible for compiling estimates for new business as well as existing business.
This will range from Fire alarms, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Doors and Passive Fire Protection. Following on from the Estimation process, the Estimator will also be responsible for following up on the quotations and converting the business.
You will be supporting the Business Development team as well as the Office, following on from Engineer recommendations.
This role is varied and rewarding.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the Fire, Life Safety business sector
- Solid understanding of BS5839, BS5266 and BS5306
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close business opportunities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills
