We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dedicated, consistent and committed team in Birchwood, Warrington, to provide high-quality support to adults with learning disabilities. This rewarding role involves empowering these individuals to live fulfilling lives by supporting them in their daily routines and activities they love. Our service users are full of personality and enjoy a range of activities, including cooking delicious meals, shopping, theatre trips, going out for meals, bowling, cinema, day trips, hosting fun themed evenings and many more.
Key Responsibilities

Support individuals to engage in their favourite activities, such as cooking, shopping, meals out, swimming, cinema, theatre, themed evenings and company events.

Promote independence and choice, encouraging participation in community activities.

Assist with daily living tasks including personal care.

Build trusting relationships, ensuring a person-centered approach to care.

Maintain accurate records and follow care plans to meet individual needs.

Work collaboratively with the team, families, and other professionals.

Day shifts 07:30 am - 20.30 pm (39 or 52 hours per week)

Waking Nights available 20.30 pm-7.30 am (33 or 44 hours per week)
About You

A caring and patient individual with a passion for making a difference.

Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and every other weekend.

A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to promoting independence.

A valid UK driving license is an advantage but not essential.

Opportunity to enrol in a fully funded Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care upon successful completion of your probation period (up to 12 weeks).

If you already hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, we will support you to achieve Qualified Support Worker status within 12 weeks post probation, with pay increasing to £13.50 per hour.
