Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental milestones in line with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support a team of nursery staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices in childcare
- Build strong relationships with children to promote emotional well-being, confidence, and independence
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices, including observation, assessment, and record-keeping
- Manage daily routines such as meal times, naps, play sessions, and learning activities to ensure consistency and structure
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Extensive knowledge of childcare principles, early childhood development, and nursery curriculum planning
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Experience working directly with children across various age groups in a nursery environment
- Ability to motivate and guide team members while fostering a collaborative working atmosphere
- Valid Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent certification demonstrating expertise in early childhood education
- A valid driving license is preferred for transportation needs related to the role
