Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a large commercial vehicle, primarily focusing on bulk tippers and walking floors transporting loads to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your commitment to safety and efficiency, will ensure deliveries on time and excellent service for our clients. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), bulk tippers and walking floor trailers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet scheduling requirements while minimizing delays
- Deliver goods to various locations, maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service throughout each interaction
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, daily check reports, and mileage records
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 license
- Proven experience as tipper driver but training can be given
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures for large vehicles
- Experience with delivery driver responsibilities, including loading/unloading and route planning
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
