Job Purpose
To provide excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere at The Eagle House Hotel bar. The Bar Person will prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, maintain cleanliness and organisation behind the bar, and ensure guests enjoy a high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, to a high standard.
- Deliver warm, professional, and attentive service to all guests.
- Handle customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely service.
- Keep the bar area clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
- Monitor and manage responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, including stock checks, cleaning, and cash handling.
- Work collaboratively with the Front of House and Kitchen teams to support smooth service.
- Provide a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for all guests.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous bar experience, ideally including cocktail preparation.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late-night finishes.
- Reliable transport or local residence (due to late shifts).
- Good communication skills and a professional appearance.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail trends.
- Previous hospitality/hotel experience.
- Basic food and hygiene training.
