Maintenance Plumber / Gas Engineer - West Midlands Area - £37,500 - £45,000 including overtime
Central Plumbing & Heating Services specialise installing plumbing and heating on New Build Housing Developments. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining plumbing and heating systems across various sites throughout the Midlands area. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles and mechanical systems, together with working in customers new houses.
Duties
- Problem solving site issues as and when they occur.
- Working closely with the Housebuilders Aftersales / Site Management team to ensure that things run smoothly.
- effective communication is essential due to the nature of some of the work.
- Ensuring that the site is clean, tidy and maintained to an acceptable level of cleanliness at all times.
- Contributing to our commitment to assist and develop the Housebuilders culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensuring good record keeping and working closely with our office to ensure close control of work processes.
- Provide agreed amount of paid emergency on call cover during evenings and over weekends, bank holidays
Requirements
- Evidence of the successful delivery of similar maintenance roles
- Confident communicator and good client-facing skills
- Suitably qualified, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, Minimum of a valid Gas Safe qualification and CSCS Card, some experience of heat pumps would be advantageous but not essential for the right candidate
