We're looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Accounts & Office Manager to become a key part of our expanding business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the accounts function whilst playing an important role in the day-to-day running of a busy office. As our business continues to grow, so will the opportunities within the role.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for managing the company's finance function, ensuring our accounts are accurate, compliant and up to date. Working with Sage and Payroll Manager, you'll oversee everything from CIS and VAT to payroll and supplier payments.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to support the wider business when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage CIS submissions using Sage
- Prepare and submit VAT Returns
- Process weekly/monthly payroll and workplace pensions
- Raise and process sales and purchase invoices
- Reconcile bank accounts and supplier/customer ledgers
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
- Support month-end accounting processes
- Assist with general office administration
- Help develop and improve internal processes as the business grows
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an Accounts or Office Manager role
- Experience within the construction industry is desirable
- Strong knowledge of Sage, CIS and VAT procedures
- Payroll experience (Payroll Manager experience advantageous)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges
