Location: This role is 100% based at our new HQ in Aylesford, Kent (not remote working)

The TV channel
MHI TV brings our vast range of ‘must have’ products to life on screen, 24 hours a day, nationwide.
Located in a very prominent position on SKY, Freeview and on More4 as a simulcast, our innovative channel is available to tens of millions of homes nationwide. Utilising some seriously clever, custom-built-technology, we bring Shopping TV into the 21st century…this is not your grandma’s shopping TV channel!
This Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join us on our fast-growth journey!
We’re looking for a Junior Studio Operative to join our broadcast team.
This is a newly created role to support the ongoing fast growth of the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Operating PTZ cameras on shoot days – you will have some experience of remote control cameras. Preferably in a studio-type environment
· Operation of key equipment on the studio floor and in the gallery including sound and lighting desk
· Maintaining cameras, sound, and lighting equipment
· Troubleshooting and solving issues in the studio and gallery
· Escalating issues where necessary to internal and external IT engineers
You’ll excel in this role if you have the following skills & experience:
· Strong technical proficiency across multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, cameras, sound, vision, lighting, media management
· A can-do attitude with the desire to learn and take ownership of tasks and projects.
· A passion for broadcast, digital cinematography, and pro-videography
· Experience working with any of the following equipment is beneficial but not essential, Newtek Tricaster, Sennheiser/ Behringer audio systems, Glen sound talk back, Cloud Led lighting systems, Cannon PTZ cameras
