DKL Healthcare Limited is looking for a talented and experienced cook to join The Gables Rest Home. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a care setting and catering for those with varied dietary needs whilst promoting and producing meals to support a healthy balanced diet.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals for residents and staff
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Plan and take ownership of menus to ensure they meet seasonal and residents preferred requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a care home or similar setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

As a cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for preparing delicious meals while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
