The Role
Gateway Education is looking for a confident, commercially minded and highly organised Conversion and Compliance Officer.
The majority of the role will support Oxbridge Scholars, Gateway Education’s international pre-university summer programme. You will manage prospective students and their parents from initial enquiry through to confirmed registration, including proactive follow-up calls, online interviews and registration administration.
This is a target-driven role requiring excellent communication, strong organisation and the ability to build trust with families from around the world. Oxbridge Scholars is working towards welcoming approximately 270 students, creating considerable earning potential through the per-student bonus structure.
The role also includes responsibility for supporting Gateway Education’s accommodation compliance processes and short-term student placements.
Key Responsibilities
Oxbridge Scholars Conversion and Student Support
Manage prospective students and families from initial enquiry through to confirmed registration.
Make proactive follow-up calls and respond promptly to enquiries by telephone and email.
Conduct online or telephone interviews with students and parents.
Provide clear and accurate information about Oxbridge Scholars programmes, subjects, locations, fees, accommodation and the student experience.
Follow up outstanding registration forms, documents, deposits and payments.
Build positive relationships with international families and address questions or concerns affecting their decision.
Maintain accurate records, follow-up dates and pipeline information within the company CRM.
Monitor conversion activity and provide regular updates on interviews, registrations and projected student numbers.
Work closely with the marketing, finance and operations teams to provide a smooth experience for every family.
Support parent webinars, online information sessions and other programme-promotion activities as required.
Accommodation Compliance and Operations
Carry out annual in-person compliance visits to existing accommodation providers.
Maintain and monitor provider documentation, including DBS checks, insurance records, gas safety certificates and safeguarding training.
Ensure record-keeping systems meet AEGIS, other relevant accrediting-body and internal requirements.
Assist the Head of Operations with short-term student placements.
Participate in the out-of-hours emergency telephone rota.
Provide cover for the Head of Operations during periods of absence.
About You
You will have:
A bachelor’s degree.
Previous experience in a fast-paced sales or customer-service role.
Experience working towards individual or team targets.
Confidence making outbound calls and guiding customers towards a decision.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
The ability to communicate professionally with both parents and young people.
A proactive, self-motivated and results-focused approach.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Good all-round computer proficiency, including experience using CRM systems or customer databases.
A strong commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
The ability to work effectively and independently from home.
Previous experience in education, international programmes, student recruitment, safeguarding or accommodation compliance would be advantageous but is not essential.
Fluency in an additional language would also be advantageous, particularly Spanish or Russian.

Pay: £26,000.00-£26,500.00 per year
