Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your attention to detail and commitment to customer service will ensure that every guest leaves with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to proper food handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during peak hours.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- A helpful attitude towards customers and colleagues alike, fostering a friendly atmosphere.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders accurately.
