We have a great opportunity for you to join our friendly and vibrant nursery as the Housekeeper. Your job would be to support the Toddler units in maintaining their cleanliness with a variety of jobs.
The role
- To support the day to day running and cleaning of the Toddler kitchen and eating areas
- To set up and then tidy and to clean up after lunchtime and dinner. Tables, floors, dishes & bins
- To manage your time effectively to ensure the areas are clean, tidy & hygienic
- Ensuring that correct cleaning equipment is used in conjunction with the cleaning zones of the nursery.
- All cleaning equipment should be kept out of the reach of children and cleaning cloths and mop heads should be changed daily
- Dirty cleaning equipment should be placed in the laundry area for cleaning.
- Be aware of and able to follow COSHH requirements
- To continually think of ways to improve the cleanliness of the nursery and implement where necessary
- Transport Lunch to our sister site
- Check the fridge temperature daily
- Complete in-house training of relevant courses
- Being responsible for the implementation of the policies and procedures of the setting.
- To make sure that all staff are aware of the procedures you have in place to complete them in your absence
- To report any changes in your D.B.S immediately to your supervisor.
The candidate
- Experience working within an a Housekeeper role
- A positive and friendly ‘can do attitude’
- Good interpersonal skills
