Think again! Here at St Marks Hospital , Maidenhead , we have an inpatient ward, soon to become two wards, with a brand new modern ward set to open this year. The service delivers car e for adults with a wide variety medical and post-surgical conditions. Our patient cohort is referred from both acute hospital and community settings. Without immediate access to acute investigations, we use multiple ‘Point of Care Testing’ systems to support the care of our patients .
Our diverse range of staff are skilled in appropriate management of patients supporting them to remain in the community setting, whilst also escalating as appropriate to ensure their safety.
BHFT actively encourages the development of our staff, and as a result our team of RNs have the opportunity to follow the career path suitable to them – this can be developing autonomous nursing skills, management skills, or supporting you to be the best Registered Nurse you can be . We are looking for nurses that are flexible and can cover shifts over a 24 hour , 7 day a week service.
Work closely as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team for the care of patients requiring medical and rehabilitation support, predominantly post an acute hospital stay.
Responsible for the assessment of care needs, development and implementation of patient centred care. Promoting independence and safe discharge home .
Working with junior members of staff in all aspects of patient care, participating in training and support.
