BCS connect are looking for an experienced Steel Fixer for our client based in Fording Bridge, Salisbury. The project will run for approximately 2 months.
Responsibilities
- Fixing steel cages for concrete bases on a river diversion project.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine reinforcement placement.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel reinforcement bars using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Assist with other construction tasks such as masonry work or roofing as required to support project progress.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar reinforcement installation role.
- CSCS NVQ Level 2 in Steel Fixing
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to reinforcing steel assembly.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., pliers, hammers) and power tools.
