Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Trauma Informed Emotional Literacy Coaches to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals subject to Probation across Greater Manchester, this will include prison environments.
The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through bespoke support and the delivery of interventions to support emotional regulation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support with behaviour management and trauma adaptations that people may be struggling with following trauma. Experience of working with people in Criminal Justice Settings or other marginalised groups
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support to manage trauma symptoms, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Assist with developing psychological safety and trust through relational practice
- Travel across Greater Manchester to provide support in different locations
- Support people in prison who are struggling with mental health and emotional well-being
- Provide emotional support promote mental well-being and emotional regulation
- Respond to safeguarding issues promptly
- Work as part of a team
Experience
- Prior experience in working in CJS or with other marginalised groups
- Knowledge of the impact of trauma on our brains and bodies and/or previous trauma training is desirable
- Experience in engaging people who are disengaged from services
- An ability to remain calm in intense situations
- An ability to manage your own emotions and a willingness to engage in clinical supervision.

This job required us to undertake a number of checks including vetting through HMPPS for clearance to work in Prison and Probation and an Enhanced DBS.
