You will be responsible for assisting with site preparation, handling tools and materials, and ensuring the successful installation of doors in commercial and industrial settings. Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial doors, including roller shutters, sectional doors, and loading bay doors
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, organizing tools and materials
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, drill, assemble, and fit door components according to schematics and technical specifications
- Support fabrication and carpentry tasks related to door frames and surrounding structures
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment on-site
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Conduct basic inspections of installed doors for functionality and report any issues or defects
Skills
- Proven experience with industrial doors (not necessary for the labourer)
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to door automation or motorized mechanisms
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights as needed
