This post is a Trust‑wide role, instrumental in shaping how data is collated, assured and used to provide high‑quality intelligence that informs performance management, supports high‑quality care and delivers tangible benefits across the Trust and wider health system.
Working within the Corporate Information Team, the post holder supports clinical, operational decision‑making by delivering accurate, timely and meaningful data. The role carries responsibility for ensuring all statutory and regulatory data returns are completed accurately, submitted on time and fully compliant with national standards requirements.
Working closely with the Corporate Information Lead, the post holder will help coordinate and deliver a robust audit and assurance programme for external submissions, providing confidence in data quality, integrity and consistency. They will manage complex and ad hoc analytical requests from external bodies, ensuring outputs are robust, reliable and aligned to agreed definitions and regulatory expectations.
As a senior team member, the post holder will line manage junior analysts, providing supervision, coaching and development to build capability and support a high‑performing, collaborative and customer‑focused service.
Directly support and co-ordinate all Corporate Information needs for the Northern Care Alliance.
Responsible for the delivery and interpretation of statutory and performance information requirements, including the delivery of all mandatory returns within expected timescales.
Work as an information expert, providing detailed guidance on information matters in relation to the Northern Care Alliance.
Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of information and operational business processes and how these can support the achievement of agreed targets and objectives.
Provide regular updates to the Corporate Information Lead on the progress of work and any emerging issues or challenges to meeting agreed delivery dates.
Ensure best practice in terms of information and Data & Analytics provision, working closely with Corporate Information Lead, Insight Leads, Senior Analytics Manager and wider NHS information community.
Identify opportunities to further utilise the information sources available both internally and externally.
Work pro-actively to ensure Senior Leaders are aware of the impact on information through business developments and process changes whilst conversely ensuring that operational leaders are fully aware of changes and developments in information systems, policies and software.
