Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Early Years Deputy Manager to join our Outstanding Day Nursery. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies and young children. Your leadership will inspire staff, engage with families, and uphold high standards of early childhood education. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with leadership/management experience and a genuine love for working with children to make a positive impact in early years development.
Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient nursery functioning
- Support and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education programs
- Lead by example in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes children's learning and well-being
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and nursery activities
- Support staff recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives
- Participate in planning activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning
Qualifications
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early years or childcare environments
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are essential

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
