About the Role
Urban Pitta is looking for an experienced and dependable Shift Manager to join our Urban Pitta Woodseats Branch.
You will be responsible for leading the team during assigned shifts, coordinating daily operations and maintaining high standards of food quality, customer service, cleanliness and safety.
This position is suitable for an experienced Shift Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager who is confident managing a busy restaurant shift and supporting the development of team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the restaurant team and manage the day-to-day operation of assigned shifts.
- Organise team deployment and ensure all stations are adequately supported.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, customer service and cleanliness.
- Train, coach and support team members.
- Assist the Store General Manager in achieving sales, labour Cost Percentages and operational targets.
- Monitor stock levels, control waste and support inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Complete opening, closing, cash handling and security procedures accurately.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Respond to operational issues calmly and effectively.
- Provide clear shift handovers and report relevant matters to the Store Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Shift Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager.
- Experience within hospitality, food service or a quick-service restaurant.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A practical and hands-on approach to management.
- Ability to motivate, support and develop team members.
- Good organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
