Pembury Pre-school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Manager & Healthy Child Lead Practitioner to join our friendly team.
You’ll support the Manager in delivering outstanding childcare and education, while leading on health and wellbeing across the setting — including the Mayor of London’s Healthy Early Years London Award.
What You’ll Do
- Support the day-to-day management of the Pre-school.
- Lead on health and wellbeing initiatives and organise 2-year-old health checks in partnership with health visitors.
- Work closely with the SENCO to support children with additional needs and create individual support plans.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in line with EYFS standards.
- Build positive relationships with staff, families, and external agencies. (Full JD given on request).
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years Education.
- Experience in a senior or deputy management role.
- Knowledge of EYFS, SEND, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive, caring, and flexible approach.
Desirable:
Level 4 qualification, experience with the HEYL programme, Paediatric First Aid, and Food Hygiene certificates.
