A fantastic job opportunity for a Forklift Driver to join a small, dynamic, busy team within an import company based in Cheddar.
We are recruiting for a Forklift/Warehouse operative which involves manual lifting. The ideal candidate will be well organised and deliver excellent time management at all times. You will be a team player and good communicator. Being confident and having a high attention to detail, you will need to be able to prioritise your roles according to the needs of the day, in a fast paced working environment.
A forklift license is essential with this role, with a pivot steer license preferable but not essential.
Your colleagues will be on hand to offer initial training and assistance. The company offers great prospects for the right candidate in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
Hours
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
Main Tasks
- Replenish stock in our busy warehouse.
- Unloading Containers manually and with use of machinery
- Taking deliveries in, counting and checking stock on arrival
- Order Picking
- Wrapping Pallets
- Stock Control
- Stacking Pallets safely and securely
- Ensure excellent customer service levels through low error rates
- Happy to take instruction from the Warehouse Manager
- Carry out other reasonable tasks within the warehouse as required
- To proactively assist and support other members of the team
- First aid and Fire Marshall training/duties if required
- To cover for team members whilst on holiday or during sickness and encourage team working
Experience/Skills Required
- Forklift licensed required
- Pivot Steer (Bendy) forklift license preferable but not essential
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Experience within a warehouse environment is desirable although not essential
