Job description
The job calls for a reliable, honest, punctual person, happy with early mornings. The work involves some heavy lifting unloading the van and requires pride in displaying our produce. No pushy sales are required as most customers are regulars and loyal, who know and love our veg. The applicant should enjoy customer interaction in a friendly, community environment.
Although previous retail experience is preferred, a positive, out going personality works well. The key challenges are the need to be able to physically unload a large van and set up the market stall, and the early starts involving leaving the farm at between 5:00 am and 6:30 am depending on the market, with a return time of between 3 pm and 5:30pm. In compensation people find it a very rewarding job and work for many years for us.
