This is a 13–14 month fixed-term position, ideal for those seeking a consistent and predictable working pattern while gaining valuable emergency and critical care experience within a supportive clinic.
The role follows a fixed 4-week rolling rota with some flexibility:
Night shifts: 19:00 – 08:30
Saturday day: 12:00 – 19:30
Sunday day: 08:00 – 19:30
Rota pattern:

- Tuesday night
- Friday night
- Saturday night
- Sunday night
Week 3
- Wednesday night
- Friday night
Week 4
- Tuesday night
- Wednesday night
- Saturday day
- Sunday day
There is some flexibility within the rota, allowing us to accommodate individual circumstances where possible. This working pattern provides an excellent balance of clinical exposure alongside valuable time away from the clinic.

Vets Now Kirkcaldy provides a varied and rewarding emergency and critical care caseload, giving you the opportunity to further develop your ECC knowledge and clinical confidence.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of emergency presentations while delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment. Whether you’re already experienced in ECC or looking to build on your existing skills, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
