We are looking to recruit a Skilled Production Operative for our Collation and High Risk area within the Production team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, show initiative, and have accuracy with excellent attention to detail. As a Skilled Production Operative, you will be responsible for completing verification checks and being able to operate and understand all machinery, ensuring high-quality product is being continuously produced. This is a hands-on role based on the factory floor in a chilled production environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the handling and processing of pork products while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene. Hours : Monday to Friday 15:00-23:30
Pay rate: £14.53 per hour
Experience / Knowledge:
- Prior experience within the food industry in a role that is machine-oriented and/or multi-skilled is required
- Reliable and good timekeeper
- Ability to use IT systems, and be comfortable with running and understanding a paperless factory
- Conscientious, enthusiastic and willingness towards meeting deadlines
- Be able to show initiative and good problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety principles
- Ability to communicate, understand, and follow instructions and have good attention to detail
