Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Scaffolding Wagon Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks equipped with scaffolding materials, delivering supplies to various job sites, and ensuring timely and secure transportation. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery will be vital in supporting our project teams and maintaining our high standards of service.
Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport scaffolding materials to designated construction sites and project locations
- Load and unload scaffolding components efficiently, adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with site managers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Assist in securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Valid HGV driver's license - 18 ton wagon --> Category C+E license
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within the construction or scaffolding industry
- Familiarity with flatbed truck operation and load securing techniques
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving
- Ability to operate heavy machinery related to loading/unloading scaffolding materials when necessary

Pay: £16.00 per hour
