Recruitment Manager
Location: Small Talk Nurseries HQ-Handsworth

Working Hours: 36–42.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for an organised, motivated, and people-focused Recruitment Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the recruitment process from sourcing and attracting candidates through to interviews, selection, onboarding, and ongoing candidate management.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and can work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment process from initial vacancy through to successful placement.
- Advertise vacancies across appropriate job boards, social media platforms, and recruitment channels.
- Source and attract suitable candidates using a variety of recruitment methods.
- Review CVs and applications and shortlist candidates against role requirements.
- Conduct telephone, video, and face-to-face interviews where appropriate.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Ensure candidates receive a professional and positive recruitment experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and recruitment records.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future vacancies.
- Work closely with managers to understand staffing requirements and recruitment needs.
- Monitor recruitment activity and provide regular updates on vacancies and candidate progress.
- Support the onboarding process for successful candidates.
- Ensure recruitment activities are carried out professionally and in line with company policies and applicable employment legislation.
- Help develop and improve recruitment processes and strategies.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in recruitment, staffing, HR, or a similar people-focused role.
- Confident communicating with candidates and colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised with excellent time-management skills.
- Comfortable working towards recruitment targets and deadlines.
- Professional, approachable, and confident on the telephone.
- Able to prioritise a busy workload and work independently.
- Computer literate with good administrative skills.
- A strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work flexibly within the required working hours.
Previous recruitment management experience is preferred, but candidates with strong recruitment or HR experience who are ready to take the next step may also be considered.
