Conveyancing Solicitor (Minimum 3 Years' PQE or Equivalent Experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our well-respected Residential Conveyancing team.
Working closely with the Head of Department and a supportive, friendly team, the successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload independently, from instruction through to post-completion, with minimal supervision.
The caseload will include:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Transfers of equity
- Remortgages
- Registered and unregistered land
- Plot purchases
- Help to Buy and other new build transactions
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking client instructions and providing clear, practical legal advice, including likely timescales and costs.
- Preparing and drafting correspondence, reports, enquiries, statements and legal documentation.
- Reviewing contracts, title documents, searches, mortgage offers and replies to enquiries.
- Negotiating on behalf of clients and liaising with solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Progressing matters efficiently from inception to completion, prioritising workloads appropriately and keeping clients informed throughout the transaction.
The successful candidate will have:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in residential conveyancing.
- The ability to manage a full residential conveyancing caseload independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling a broad range of residential property transactions.
- Excellent communication, organisational and client care skills.
- A good working knowledge of CQS and Lexcel requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Established professional relationships with local estate agents and other property professionals would be advantageous.
