Overview
We are seeking an experienced Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team in a nursing and residential care home setting. The ideal candidates will be passionate about enhancing the lives of residents through engaging and stimulating activities.
weekdays 11-5 and every other weekend 10-5 contract hours 25 in total per week
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and facilitate a variety of activities for residents, taking into account individual preferences and abilities
- Coordinate outings and events both within the care home and in the local community
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are tailored to meet the needs of residents, including those with dementia
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident engagement
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home environment
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and sensitivity to the needs of residents
- Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance resident well-being
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and improving the quality of life for seniors
