Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Weekend Cook /plus holiday cover to join our friendly residential care home team.
As our Weekend Cook, you will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for our residents while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. You will play an important role in ensuring our residents enjoy delicious home-cooked meals every weekend.
Duties include:
- Preparing and cooking breakfast lunch and supper for residents.
- Catering for special diets, allergies and individual preferences.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen.
- Following Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
- Monitoring food stock and reporting ordering requirements.
- Working closely with the care team to meet residents' nutritional needs.
What we're looking for:
- Previous cooking experience (care home, school, café, restaurant or similar).
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate .
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A caring, positive and reliable attitude.
- Ability to work independently.

Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
