Hereford Contract Canning is a fast-growing and ambitious contract canning business, producing premium canned beverages for some of the UK's leading drinks brands. Following continued investment and business growth, we're looking for Multi-Skilled Process Operators to join our Manufacturing Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a skilled production team responsible for preparing, blending and transferring products that meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Shift Pattern
You'll work a Panama Continental Shift Pattern, consisting of 12-hour rotating day and night shifts:
- 06:00 – 18:00
- 18:00 – 06:00
What You'll Be Doing
As a Process Operator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and monitoring beverage processing equipment, tanks and associated plant.
- Preparing, blending and transferring products in accordance with production specifications.
- Carrying out Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures on tanks, pipework and processing equipment.
- Completing product changeovers while following standard operating procedures.
- Monitoring process parameters and recording production data accurately.
- Performing quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications and food safety standards.
- Supporting routine operational maintenance and identifying equipment issues.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and workplace safety.
- Working closely with Packaging, Quality and Engineering teams to ensure smooth production.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing department.
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks to move raw materials and finished products where required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for individuals who have:
- Experience within a food, beverage, pharmaceutical or manufacturing process environment.
- A strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures.
- A proactive and safety-first approach to work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new processes.
Experience of beverage processing, mixing, batching or CIP systems would be advantageous.
A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
