THE ROLE
As a Tubby Tom’s Production Assistant, you’ll be working in the engine room of the company, helping us turn mountains of ingredients into the sauces and seasonings that keep Tubby Tom’s moving.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on and physically demanding role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, works quickly and efficiently, and takes pride in smashing through a busy workload without compromising quality or accuracy.
You’ll work as part of the Production Team under the guidance of the Unit Manager, Production Supervisor and Company Directors. We need someone who is proactive and forward-thinking — someone who thinks about what needs doing next, spots potential problems early and helps keep production moving rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Attention to detail is critical. You’ll need to be eagle-eyed when it comes to ingredients, stock levels, packaging, batch information and production records. You’ll use our digital inventory management system regularly, so you’ll need to be confident working with digital systems and understand the importance of keeping our stock information accurate.
If something doesn’t look right, we want you to spot it, investigate it and communicate it quickly. A small discrepancy caught early is far better than a big problem further down the line.
The role is physically demanding and involves being on your feet, lifting and moving ingredients, stock and equipment, as well as repetitive tasks on the production line. You’ll need to be comfortable working at pace while maintaining concentration and accuracy.
Ultimately, we’re looking for someone reliable, energetic, organised and accountable, who wants to help us continually improve how we work and push Tubby Tom’s to the next level.
