Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust backend applications and microservices using Python and modern frameworks (such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, learn from senior developers, and translate ideas into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems by troubleshooting issues, refactoring code, and implementing performance improvements.
- Integrate third-party APIs and develop secure RESTful services to ensure smooth data exchange across platforms.
- Manage version control using Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab to track changes efficiently and collaborate on codebases.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to deploy Python applications, utilizing containerization and optimizing infrastructure performance.
- Design and manage databases by writing efficient SQL queries and utilizing Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) like SQLAlchemy or the Django ORM.
- Contribute to overall system architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and seamless integration with front-end components.
Requirements
- Professional experience OR a strong portfolio: Proven experience in software development, or a degree in Computer Science (or related field) with a strong portfolio of academic, internship, or personal Python projects.
- Strong understanding of Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure for application deployment and management.
- Knowledge of REST APIs for building web services and complex data integrations.
- Solid background working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, along with a good grasp of SQL.
- Experience working in Linux environments; comfortable navigating command-line interfaces.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile team environment while managing multiple priorities.
Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python and message brokers/task queues (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (such as React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- Exposure to setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of application security best practices.
