The role - Trade Counter Salesperson
An opportunity has arisen for a Trade Counter Salesperson to join our team. Working within a very busy trade counter , the main purpose of your role will be to build first class relationships with customers both over the telephone and face to face whilst maintaining excellent customer service. You will also be required to provide quotations to customers, follow them up and to proactively develop sales. A good knowledge of a variety of timber & associated products and experience of working in a similar position within a timber or builder’s merchants would be advantageous, however not essential as full training will be provided for the right person. Attitude is more important than product knowledge.
You will be working within a small team and will be dealing with our customers daily. You will therefore need to be the person that our customers will look forward to seeing, knowing that they will always receive excellent levels of service. You should also be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a very positive attitude.
Requirements
- Preferably some experience with a timber or builder’s merchant
- Positive approach in everything you do.
- Thrive on being part of a winning team.
- Good communicator – with both your colleagues & customers.
- Willing to go the extra mile for our customers.
Hours of work – Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm & every second Saturday from 8am to 12pm
