Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Credit Controller will manage customer accounts and ensure the aged debt levels are kept to a minimum.
The role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow by managing and collecting outstanding customer debts efficiantly. This involved assessing credit risk, setting appropriate credit limits. Monitoring oayments behaviour and ensuring timely collection of invoices.
Knowledge & Experience
– Previous experience in a credit controller role ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
– Finance/business graduate or equivalent practical experience in a similar role
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
– Experience working with ERP, finance, or inventory systems is desirable
– Strong data accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational capability
– Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and support cross-functional processes
– Ensure all dispatched goods are accurately invoiced and aligned to dispatch records
– Maintain customer accounts, including aged debtors, statements, and credit terms
– Manage customer queries and follow up on overdue payments
– Ensure overdue debts are followed up regularly and problem accounts are escalated for review or for further action
– Resolve any customer invoicing queries and review new customer credit rating and limit
– Regularly update current customers credit limits
– Support finance and ERP system implementation and ongoing development
– Maintain accurate data across finance and stock systems
– Identify and implement improvements to processes and reporting
– Updating goods dispatched notes
