Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Aspiring Primary Teacher – September Start – Tower Hamlets
Are you a graduate with aspirations of becoming a Primary Teacher?
Would you like to gain invaluable classroom experience before embarking on teacher training?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint one or two ambitious Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from September. This is an exceptional opportunity for aspiring teachers to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with additional needs while working alongside outstanding teachers and experienced SEND professionals.
The school has a strong track record of developing graduates into successful teachers, with many Teaching Assistants progressing onto teacher training programmes within the school and trust. You'll gain experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, developing the essential classroom management, behaviour, differentiation and communication skills needed for a successful teaching career.
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, particularly children with Autism (ASD), communication needs and pupils who may occasionally become dysregulated. Working both 1:1 and with small groups, you'll help remove barriers to learning while learning from experienced teachers who are passionate about developing future educators.
If you're looking for the perfect stepping stone into teaching, this could be the ideal opportunity.
