Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Sofa Frame Machinist/Maker and bring innovative furniture designs to life! In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing high-quality sofa frames with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Operate fabrication equipment such as milling machines, cutting tools like circular saws and CNC routers, fastening tools such as heavy pneumatic staple guns, nail guns, and power drills, alongside assembly aids like webbing stretchers and heavy bar clamps, and other hand tools to shape and assemble sofa frames according to specifications
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse setting, ensuring proper storage, movement, and inventory control of raw materials and finished products
- Perform assembly of sofa frames using mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and tooling equipment to ensure structural integrity
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from design standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong background in sofa frame manufacturing.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and tooling equipment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and material estimations
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and materials handling procedures
- Skilled in assembly processes specific to furniture manufacturing, especially sofa frame construction
- Knowledge of safety standards related to machining, and materials handling
