Bramblings Residential Home is looking to recruit an experienced, compassionate and highly organised Deputy Manager to join our established management team.
This is an important senior role within the home, supporting the Registered Manager and Director in the day-to-day running of the service and helping to ensure that residents receive safe, effective, responsive and person-centred care at all times.
We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and able to lead from the front. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a busy residential care environment, supporting staff, speaking with residents and families, overseeing care practice and helping to maintain the high standards we expect across the service.
The Deputy Manager will have a visible presence within the home and will work closely with the Registered Manager, senior carers and wider staff team. Responsibilities will include supporting staff supervision and development, monitoring care plans and risk assessments, assisting with audits and quality assurance, overseeing medication practice, responding to safeguarding and clinical concerns, supporting admissions and assessments, and helping ensure that the home remains compliant with CQC requirements and relevant legislation.
A key part of the role will be supporting and developing the staff team. We are therefore looking for someone who can communicate clearly, deal with issues fairly and professionally, and create a positive culture where staff feel supported while also understanding the standards expected of them.
The successful candidate should have good knowledge of residential and dementia care and a strong understanding of safeguarding, medication management, person-centred care, Mental Capacity Act principles and CQC regulations. Previous experience in a senior or management position within an adult social care setting is essential.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are confident using electronic care planning and medication systems and who are comfortable with auditing, record keeping, investigations and regulatory documentation.
Bramblings is an established residential care home with a committed team and a strong focus on continually improving the service we provide. We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to become part of the home, build relationships with residents, relatives and staff, and play an active role in its ongoing development.
This position would suit an experienced Deputy Manager, Senior Care Manager or highly experienced Senior Carer who is ready to take the next step into management.
Key attributes we are looking for include:
- Previous senior or management experience within adult social care
- Strong knowledge of residential and dementia care
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and inspection requirements
- Experience of medication management and auditing
- Knowledge of safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act and DoLS
- Confidence supervising, mentoring and supporting staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage difficult or sensitive situations professionally
- Strong attention to detail and record keeping
- A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach
- Genuine commitment to residents' dignity, choice and quality of life
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a management team
A relevant health and social care qualification, ideally Level 3 or above, is desirable, and applicants working towards or holding a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management would be particularly welcomed.
This is an opportunity to take on a genuinely influential role within Bramblings and to work closely with an experienced management team in shaping the continued development of the service.
If you are an experienced care professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys supporting and developing others, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of residents, we would be very pleased to hear from you.

Salary will be discussed depending upon experience and qualifications.
