Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent service, assisting customers with their needs, and promoting our products. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Provide detailed product information and demonstrate features where appropriate
- Upsell additional items or services to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure an attractive shopping environment
- Handle customer enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Manage stock levels, organise stock displays, and assist with inventory checks
- Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- Merchandise stock on to the shop floor quickly and eficiently
- Ensure the store remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Experience in merchandising or retail sales is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Good phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully and effectively
- Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
