Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are recruiting compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a range of welcoming mainstream primary and secondary schools across Enfield.
These long-term positions offer the opportunity to provide meaningful support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and thrive both academically and socially.
Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a graduate looking to build experience before pursuing a career in education, psychology, speech and language therapy, social work or another child-focused profession, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring they can participate fully in school life and reach their individual potential.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and other additional needs
- Helping pupils access classroom learning through differentiated support
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy and classroom activities
- Implementing strategies recommended by teachers and external professionals
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Building strong, professional relationships with pupils, staff and families

Recruitment Process
