Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Storeman/Woman to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling and storage of materials, and supporting logistics processes. Duties
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts and manual handling techniques, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Manage stock replenishment by stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and maintaining clear labeling for easy identification.
- Assist with picking and packing orders for shipment, verifying items against packing lists to ensure accuracy.
- Support shipping and receiving functions by inspecting incoming deliveries, documenting receipt, and preparing outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues with warehouse machinery or tools.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of materials handling, stock management, and logistics processes desirable but not essential as training will be given.
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely in a busy environment. Training will be given.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
